I am actually writing this post at night, but I just wanted to say "Good Morning!" to everyone out there. These appear to be two English words that every Cameroonian child knows. So they say it whenever they see me walking around campus or in town, even if it is not, in fact, the morning. Therefore it is appropriate that I am writing "Good Morning!" at night. Just a small snippet of what ly daily life in Cameroon is like.
PS - The exclamation mark represents the enthusiasim with which said children always shout the word. Kinda cute actually.

Good Evening!
Hi Brian. The pictures are great, especially those of the Atlantic [right?]. It's cool to see the other side of a very farmiliar ocean. I notice that this is the second time you've gotten sick after visiting with other Peace Corps folks. Sounds like when my nephew goes on a play date and brings back something nice for the family. 10 people in a Carolla... a veritable Peace Corps Clown Car. Thinking about it now, as a Corolla owner myself I'm really at a loss as to how you actually got that many people in the passenger compartment... trunk maybe. Actually, that seems downright impossible to me! But it is just another great functional example of "where there's a will, there is a way." Cold weather has finally descended upon the north east after a very balmy winter. It has mostly been in the 50's until now. It took until just yesterday to get a dusting of snow. If this continues, we'll definitely be looking at serious drought conditions this summer. And if this upcoming summer is anything like the Hobby Holly Bake Oven hell on Earth we had last time, we'll be in for some more Chinese interesting times. I'm glad many companies and Congress are getting serious about the global warming discussions because it's finally time.
OK. Hope your classes are going well. For the one on language, remember to emphasize the difference between Bring and Take as my two English teacher parents always did!

Just a quick note to say hello, wish you all the best and recommend that you stay confined toyour compound from now on. Your intestines do not seem to like any food beyond that geographical location.
Thanks for the great pictures. You are making Cameroon seem like a paradise. Send some reality pictures too.
As always, let us know if there is anything you need over there. If we can be helpful in any way , just say the word.

Hey Brian,
Well tonight’s the night that our beloved President will attempt to sell his revised war plan to America. With his popularity falling to all time lows (he tied Nixon at his all time low) it should be interesting to see how many rabbits he will pull out of his hat. The rumors are that he will do a 180 degree shift on global warming and propose a universal health care proposal! There were two interesting developments reported over the last month concerning the relationship between the Taliban and Pakistan's ISI (Intelligence Service) - it appears they have the same motivations and desires as the group they are suppose to be pursuing. Their was a excellent article in the NYT on Sunday about the plight of a American female reporter who went to the border area in question and was beaten up by the ISI and had her computer and cell phone taken, her translator was arrested and she had to go to the Interior Minister of Pakistan to get her belonging back - given the sensitivity of this subject matter I was surprised they allowed her to leave the area without an incident?
The beach looks fantastic and quite tranquil the perfect escape for the winter blues - not crazy about the fish heads. I know you don't eat them (unless they are used in soup) but something about having those eyes connect during dinner, I find it would cause me great concern.
Lastly a comment on the economy here in the USA. Whenever the DOW index starts testing and making all time highs, it's time to step back and get ready for the correction. I'm not sure what event will trigger the sell off and with the price of oil decreasing the outcome should be temporarily delayed but mark my words - a correction is coming - and I would hope to belive this will occur sooner then later given the importance of the election in 2008.
Hope your doing well.
