I don't see too many Cameroonians chewing sticks, but people here do walk around chewing on toothpicks a lot.

In parts of the SW province (Mamfe, for example) people chew sticks from orange trees in lieu of using toothbrushes. They're suprisingly tasty--and either cheap or free.
